A message from the Chairman, September 2010

Dear Choristers,

Our summer break will soon be over and I am taking this opportunity to remind everyone that we meet again on 7th September when we start practicing Handel’s ‘Messiah’ which we sing in the Brangwyn Hall on 18th December. Many choristers have copies of Handel’s ‘Messiah’ but for those buying copies Watkins Shaw is the preferred edition. Hire copies will not be available from the Librarian.

Although numbers have increased recently we are still looking to welcome choristers in the bass and tenor sections and also a few sopranos. Anyone joining us will, I am sure, find us a very friendly group and practices, under the direction of our musical director Luke Spencer, very rewarding

I look forward to seeing everyone at 7 p.m. on the 7th September, but meanwhile enjoy the little bit of summer that is remaining.

Kind regards,

Sincerely

Richard Stevens
